À propos de Juliana Koch

Juliana Koch studied oboe with François Leleux in Munich and with Fabian Menzel in Frankfurt. She also worked with Jacques Tys in Paris and studied Baroque oboe with Saskia Fikentscher in Munich. She was solo oboist with the Royal Danish Opera Orchestra in Copenhagen and with the Filarmonica della Scala at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan before accepting a position as solo oboist with the London Symphony Orchestra under Sir Simon Rattle in 2018. Since September 2018, she has also been a professor of oboe at the Royal College of Music in London.

In 2017, Juliana Koch won Second Prize and the Audience Prize at the ARD competition in Munich (no first prize was awarded that year) as well as the city of Osnabrück’s Music Prize. The German Music Competition awarded Koch a support grant and named her one of Germany’s most outstanding young artists.
