Lukasz Dlugosz is one of the most prominent flutists of our time. He received a soloist’s diploma from the Hochschule for Music and Theater in Munich as well as master’s degrees from the Paris Conservatoire and Yale University in the USA. He has won prizes at many of the world’s most important competitions in Paris, Munich, Odense, and Viggiano. Długosz has appeared throughout the world as a soloist and chamber musician, performing with many distinguished orchestras under the direction of conductors such as Zubin Mehta, James Levine, and Mariss Jansons. He has performed Krzysztof Penderecki’s Concerto per flauto numerous times with the composer himself conducting. In 2010, Dlugosz made his first solo recording with the London Symphony Orchestra, performing Michael Colina’s flute concerto, Isles of Shoals. Critics have praised Długosz’s radio, television, and CD recordings, and he has received the International Classical Music Award. He has premiered numerous works by composers such as Krzysztof Penderecki, Enjott Schneider, Paweł Mykietyn, Graxyna Pstrokonska-Nawratil, Piotr Moss, Michael Colina, and others.
