À propos de Markus Schwind

Markus Schwind studied trumpet, music pedagogy, and contemporary music with Malte Burba, Guy Touvron, Peter Eötvös, and Markus Stockhausen. Schwind has performed in major concert halls and music festivals under the direction of Pierre Boulez, Sylvain Cambreling, Heinz Holliger, Ingo Metzmacher, Emilio Pomàrico, and Hans Zender, and toured with the Ensemble musikFabrik, ensemble recherche, Klangforum Wien, and Ensemble Modern. The composers with whom he has collaborated include John Adams, Mauricio Kagel, György Kúrtag, Helmut Lachenmann, Wolfgang Rihm, and Karlheinz Stockhausen. Schwind has a special interest in projects that include dance and film, such as “Wolf”by Alain Platel, “Battleship Potemkin” by the Pet Shop Boys, and “I am a mistake” by the Belgian choreographer Jan Fabre. His solo CD “Paths – Klangwege” (made in cooperation with the organist Martin Bambauer) and other CDs are documents of his musical abilities. Markus Schwind has been a member of the ensemble ascolta since 2003.
