* 1982 in Rhodes, Greece. In his music, the human element is of central significance. Whether the works are instrumental or electroacoustic, whether composed for films or for concert halls, they are infl uenced by different art forms and the sciences. Kollias explores connections between music and interdisciplinary theories of complexity, applying them to his music. He studied at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, City University, London, University of Paris 8, and the Conservatoire de Boulogne, Paris with the support of four scholarships. He has studied composition with Vaggione, Hervé, Maresz, López López, Hoadley and Samuel. He has also taken master classes with Lachenmann, Aperghis, Furrer, Murail, Ablinger, Hurel, Lanza, Chin, Strasnoy, Hölszky, Gadenstätter, Naón and Di Scipio. He has participated in the workshops at Darmstadt (2006), Ircam /Acanthes (2010), Acanthes (2011), Impuls (2013). His works have been performed in more than 20 countries and more than 60 concerts. He has held lectures about music at many international conferences while his music has received awards and nominations at 12 international competitions. His music is published by BabelScores.
