À propos de Tara Bouman

Tara Bouman, clarinet, was born in 1970 in Leiden, Holland. She studied classical clarinet with an emphasis on contemporary music at the Amsterdam Conservatory. After performing this repertoire for many years, she became increasingly involved with improvisation and – encouraged by Markus Stockhausen – with Intuitive Music. With Stockhausen, she has been part of the duo Moving Sounds since 2002. She has also performed as a soloist and chamber musician throughout Europe as well as in Mexico, Chile, and the USA. She can be heard on five CDs, most recently “Eternal Voyage” from 2010.

Bouman’s other love is yoga. She is a trained Iyengar yoga teacher, working primarily with other musicians.
