Masterpieces of the chorale fantasy for organ upon the Latin "Te Deum laudamus" by the great organists of the Marienkirche in Lübeck, Tunder and Buxtehude as well as J.S. Bach dominate this CD, completed by free style compositions. Jürgen Essl, internationally renowned performer, improviser, composer, and teacher, plays on Denmark's only larger instrument that retains a considerable substance of the history of organ building from the sixteenth to the eighteenth centuries.
